Our region is marketed heavily as a tourist destination, attracting thousands of visitors to the coastal regions over the warmer months and a huge influx to the snow fields during winter.
The medical infrastructure throughout the region consists of 17 hospitals, 58 general practices, 33 nursing homes, as well as pathology, nuclear medicine and pharmacy facilities. Primary health care provided by our GPs is complemented by a comprehensive choice of medical specialists and allied health professionals.
Because we understand the challenging workloads faced by GPs and their staff, we devote considerable time and expertise to developing clinical programs and practice resources which not only build practice capacity but ultimately improve patient health outcomes. Meanwhile, our professional development program simplifies CPD requirements for GPs and offers training for practice staff.
