The Southern General Practice Network provides nursing support services to general practice in the region through a range of strategies which include professional development, peer support and mentoring, as well as recruitment, retention and contracted placement activities.
SGPN provides information and support to practice nurses and general practitioners around chronic disease management, PIP, immunisation, infection control, health promotion and prevention, EPC, nursing employment, and competency standards.
We participate in state and national initiatives that benefit nursing in general practice, including a virtual network for dissemination of relevant information.
